Soban

Our story

What does "Soban" mean?

A soban (소반) is the classic Korean low table crafted for sharing an intimate, heartfelt meal. In Korean homes, dining is about connection: every freshly cooked dish, every bowl of warm stew, and every side of banchan carries the care of home cooking and generations of heritage.

We chose this name because we wanted to bring that genuine warmth to Quito. Soban is not just about serving Korean food; it is an open invitation to pull up a seat at our family table.

Authentic Korean cuisine, made by our family

Behind every dish is our family, cooking together every day. From slowly marinated bulgogi to the banchan we prepare by hand each morning, we stay true to the time-honored recipes and ingredients that define Korean food.

Authentic Korean dining is rare in Ecuador. Whether you are part of Quito's Korean community longing for the taste of home, a curious local exploring new flavors, or a traveler passing through, we are proud to serve real, soulful Korean food made without shortcuts.
